Ian Domaille

Director

Ian is a Director and a founding shareholder of Artemis. Prior to that he was a partner in a mid-sized firm of Chartered Accountants. He has over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry in Guernsey and is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Ian’s clients are principally high net worth individuals from across the globe. He is involved in planning aspects for many different types of assets and works with major firms of lawyers, accountants and banks, as well as niche service providers. Ian capitalises on the breadth of his professional relationships to assist clients in pursuing the most appropriate solution to their needs. Ian also sits on a number of boards including those of listed companies, as a non–executive director and is involved in regulated financial institutions in several jurisdictions. Ian has served as a Member of the Financial Advisory Committee of the European Patent Office since June 2017.

Debbie Guillou

Chief Executive Officer

Debbie joined Artemis as Chief Executive Officer in September 2019. Debbie is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Chartered Director with experience in wealth management, insurance and fund management as well as utilities and healthcare. Debbie is also a non-executive director on the boards of the Office of the Financial Services Ombudsman in Guernsey and Jersey which collectively operate under the name of the Channel Islands Financial Ombudsman. Debbie was educated in Guernsey and has an honours degree in accountancy from the University of Stirling.

Ian Clarke

Director

Ian joined Artemis in 2011 and was appointed a Director in 2015. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and has over 26 years' experience in the finance industry in Guernsey including wealth management, the administration of international trusts, corporate entities and regulated funds. He previously held the position of managing director of a fund administrator in Guernsey, and has also sat on the boards of a number of funds and companies, some of which were listed on recognised Stock Exchanges. Ian has experience in developing early stage natural resources and energy-focused companies into larger private companies and through to Initial Public Offerings. With his Fund Management experience, the administration of larger private companies with a large shareholder base and listed entities is an area in which he has built expertise in dealing with multi-jurisdictional investors. Ian has experience in the ownership and operation of private yachts and private aircraft, including crew recruitment and contractual matters.

Keren Bowen

Director

Keren is a Director and joined Artemis in 2007. Keren has over 20 years' experience working in the finance industry in the administration of trusts and corporate entities, and heads up a busy administration team. During this time, Keren has gained extensive experience dealing with complex tax structuring, working on large financing transactions and has been involved in many asset acquisitions and disposals, including super prime real estate, super yachts and private aircraft. Keren also has experience in the operation of these assets including property refurbishment works, dealing with matters such as global staff recruitment, employment and crew employment matters, and contractual matters. Keren has worked with a range of ultra high net worth individuals and has experience dealing with family offices, the drafting and controlling of large client budgets and Estate distribution. Keren also deals with contentious matters, including mediation. She holds a Master's Degree in Corporate Governance and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Mark Bright

Independent Non-Executive Director

Mark joined Artemis in January 2020 as an independent non-executive director. He has over forty years’ experience in financial services, most of which he spent in private wealth. He has lived and worked in the UK, the Middle East and the Channel Islands for some of the world’s leading international banking groups. Mark holds an Honours Degree in Financial Services and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He served two terms as Chairman of the Association of Guernsey Banks and was a Council Member of the Guernsey International Business Association for eleven years. Mark currently sits on the FinTech Strategy Group and is a non-executive director on the boards of several other locally regulated firms.

Maggie has worked in Trust and Company administration for over 17 years. She has worked with a range of high net worth individuals and family offices, and has a detailed knowledge of the operation and management of trust and corporate vehicles. Maggie also has experience working on contentious trust issues. Maggie is a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Society of Trust Estate Practitioners.

Kate has a wealth of experience working within Human Resources for both the finance and commercial sector. She joined Artemis in 2006 and oversees the entire HR function including talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations and learning and development. Kate is CIPD qualified in Human Resources Management.

Justin Jager

Associate Director

Justin is an Associate Director with over 15 years of experience, who joined Artemis in February 2017. He was educated in Guernsey before moving to the UK to attend university. He qualified with a BSc hons degree from Nottingham University, followed by a MSc from University of Wales. He remained in the UK for a further 6 years, where he trained as a Chartered Management Accountant. Justin returned to Guernsey in 2002, where he commenced his career in the Finance industry. Justin manages a team of administrators with particular exposure to complex trust and corporate structures.

Alex Guilbert

Associate Director – Compliance and Risk

Alex joined Artemis in September 2019 and heads the Compliance and Risk department. He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial service sector covering trust, investment management, long term insurance and banking. Over 10 years of that experience has been in a second line of defence role. As well as compliance and risk, Alex has management experience in IT, project management and corporate governance. He also has an MBA from the University of Warwick. Alex was educated in Guernsey. Prior to working in the financial services sector, he was an academic in the UK and holds a PhD in ultrasonic flow measurement.

Aimee is an Assistant Trust Manager, and joined Artemis in 2004. She was elected as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 2012. Aimee has over 12 years’ experience in the administration of trusts and corporate entities and currently manages a varied portfolio of clients including many UK resident non-domiciled individuals and many structures with UK property both residential and commercial.

Sean Gill

Client Accounting Manager

Sean is the Client Accounting Manager. Sean manages the accounting team which prepares financial statements and other financial reporting requirements for a diverse portfolio of trust and company structures. Sean is accomplished in preparing the accounts in both International (IFRS) and UK (FRS102) Accounting Standards. Before starting in the private financing sector, Sean spent 10 years in the captive insurance industry of which 7 years were working for the largest European captive insurance managers with a global client base. After a successful career providing financial reporting information for corporate clients, he has successfully applied his knowledge in the private client environment. Sean has been with Artemis for over 10 years and leads a team of 4 fully and part qualified accountants; the team prepare accounts for all the Artemis clients ranging from simple single asset companies to far more complex structures. Sean is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, having qualified in 2005 and obtained his fellowship a few years later.

Julia has 30 years’ experience within international fiduciary and wealth management. She trained and qualified in Corporate Governance with Credit Suisse Trust, where she worked for 17 years before moving to head up Barclays Wealth in Guernsey. Julia joined Artemis in August 2019 to manage a portfolio of complex inter-generational family trusts with varied financial and non-financial assets and an international dynamic. Julia speaks German, and has worked in UK, Holland, Germany and Switzerland – she enjoys supporting and guiding beneficiaries to effectively engage with the complex and changing landscapes of Family Trusts.

Natalie is an Assistant Manager, and joined Artemis in 2007. She has over 16 years' experience working in the finance industry. Natalie has vast experience in the administration of trusts and corporate entities, and has worked with a range of high net worth individuals and family offices, and has a detailed knowledge of the legal principles underpinning the operation and management of trust and corporate vehicles. She also has experience in complex tax structuring, working with family Trusts, and sourcing, financing and creating property holding vehicles. Through her work with high net worth individuals, Natalie has extensive experience in the ownership and operation of private aircraft, including financing, operations, crew recruitment and contractual matters relating thereto. Natalie is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Adam is an Assistant Trust Manager and joined Artemis in 2007. He has over 10 years’ experience working with corporate and trust structures and has worked with various companies both private and listed. As well as trust administration, Adam also has experience with all facets of corporate secretarial practice. Adam is currently studying the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators.

Alex is a Trust Manager, and joined Artemis in 2018. She has over 10 years’ experience working with trust and corporate structures and currently manages a varied portfolio of clients and assets, including experience in multi-jurisdictional family trust structures. Alex has specialised in pension structures for US residents and complex commercial and residential property structures for Saudi Arabian clients. Alex holds a Master's Degree in Corporate Governance and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Keeley is an Assistant Compliance Manager and has over 19 years’ experience working in the finance industry. Having initially joined Artemis in 2002, she progressed from an Assistant Trust Administrator to Trust Officer before moving to the Compliance department in 2009. Keeley has gained the ICA Advanced Certificate in AML and is also STEP qualified.

James joined Artemis in 2015 and is an Assistant Manager. Having worked in the Guernsey finance industry for over 12 years, he has experience in the administration of large family trust and company structures and the variety of assets such structures own. James is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
